Activity description: Collecting and stacking cut vegetation to encourage a meadow like environment.

Finish time: Should be completed by 13:00  (but you can leave when you like)

Child friendly: Maybe - we are working beside a country lane with very light traffice.

Kit required: Gardening gloves and appropriate footwear. Always bring a drink.

Site History: The Milverton Conservation Volunteer Group relies on paid contracts like this to support our operations, including the purchase of necessary equipment and the organization of community events. We've been responsible for the annual maintenance of this site for the owner since 2017. 

Typically completed in a single morning between August and March, this work is crucial for preventing the area from being overtaken by scrub and removing dead vegetation, which helps the selfseeded plants we're trying to encourage to thrive.
